Not that Alden is actually super clean all the time FWIW, and I say that as an Alden fanboy hardcore, they are known for being a bit sloppy (but it’s kind of one of their old school charms IMO).
I stopped correcting people too. The people who thank me almost always have a look in their eyes saying that this is personal to them, probably a family member that may have been KIA or MIA. If I accept it graciously, they walk away feeling good about themselves.
Agree but I think this is going to be the holdover solution until the legalities over the next few years are hashed out and the chips fall where they will. It will further separate communities from their troops and packs but from what I heard it sounds like a massive chunk of charter orgs are dropping their charters. Their lawyers won allow them to even be close to the BSA until the class action is resolved, the restructurings happen, and new insurance and litigation policies fall into place.
