Bioactive lipids or lipids that activate specific signalling pathways are involved in the regulation and maintenance of normal bodily functions. Furthermore, bioactive lipid targets have been implicated in a number of conditions such as cancer, asthma and arthritis, all of which contain an inflammatory element. Additionally, a number of bioactive lipids are also known to target several different types of receptors.

Of Biden’s Cabinet level picks so far, only one is of Asian American descent: Neera Tanden, whose parents immigrated from India, was chosen to serve as director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, though Republicans have threatened to torpedo her confirmation.Asian Americans are not alone in pressing Biden for representation in his Cabinet.

Note: This presentation is the first in a likely series of discussions between the University and the Plan Commission regarding the ten year update of the Campus Master Plan. The culmination of the master plan update process will be the submittal in 2016 of a Campus Institutional (CI) zoning district master plan for approval by the Common Council following a formal recommendation by the Plan Commission at a public hearing. The purpose of this informational presentation is for the University to share data, background information and analysis observations with the Plan Commission and for the Commission to provide feedback for the master planning team to consider as it proceeds.
