Private sector participation in infrastructure development in the State has got a boost with the setting up of a special committee, the Standing Committee on Infrastructure Development (SCID), under the Chief Secretary. The main functions of this committee are approving infrastructure projects to be undertaken by the private sector and taking policy decisions on the same.
