Can anyone expand on the general love for this movie? I saw it some months ago and can say I have much love for it but I curious to see what I might have missed.My main points where the movie lost me are that I had no reason to care for any of the characters and I had a hard time looking at them as real people. For example the mob boss, in so many conversations he would say one line in Russian, the next in English and then back to Russian and so on. People in my experience just don talk like that and it felt more like Cronenberg wasn confident in his own characters and had to keep reminding us the audience of their heritage.
